DO YOU KNOW WHAT SONIC AGING IS IN WINE?

Sonic aging is a method of using sound waves and frequencies during the aging process in winemaking. Of course there is no proof that using music during winemaking really has an effect on the wine  but some would say WINE NOT try!?

THEORY AND PRACTICES

The frequencies or soundwaves move the wine which could have an effect on the wine contact with the vessel. The yeasts and microorganisms may also be more activated or influenced by the vibrations of the music as well as possibly the wine’s molecules inside the barrel or amphora. Certain frequencies in music are thought to be curative or help maintain moods or feelings that bring you to a higher level. What do you think?

AZIENDA AGRICOLA RONCHI

There is one winery that we know of here in Barbaresco that uses classical music at a certain HZ while the wine is aging in the amphoraes.  You would never expect this coming from a “traditional” small family run winery Azienda Agricola Ronchi, made up of farmers. But after reading many studies on the effect of musical frequencies on the liquid in our bodies and also wine, Paola and Giancarlo decided to try. They have been very happy with the wines and continue to use this practice where you can find harmony and balance. We have chosen both the Barbaresco Ronchi Riserva 2019 as well as the Arneis for our club, both aged partly in amphorae as well! Have you ever tasting wines made in holistic ways?
