Anyone who has been lucky enough to visit Elio Sandri at the top of the hill in Perno knows how unique and almost otherworldly the experience can be. One of our absolute favourite producers, Elio embodies a deeply personal and uncompromising vision of Barolo. His wines are authentic and carefully thought through, always deeply representative of the vintage and made with profound respect for both land and time.

Elio, in many ways a philosopher-winemaker, welcomes you into his cellar where tastings often move from barrel to barrel, surrounded by chalk notes and ever-evolving thoughts that feel more like a living equation than a winemaking process. His path was defined early in life, when he had to take responsibility for the estate at just 16 years old after his father’s accident, shaping a clear and independent vision that has remained untouched by external trends or market pressure.

Today, his wines reflect this solitude and focus, expressive, soulful and full of character, released in staggered vintages only when he feels they are truly ready. Total production remains under 40,000 bottles depending on the year, reinforcing the rare and artisanal nature of his work. Each bottle of Elio Sandri feels like a direct translation of his philosophy, time, patience, and absolute honesty.

Vintages are offered subject to availability and may be presented across two different releases, depending on current stock.

ELIO SANDRI – CASCINA DISA ALLOCATION

By signing up for an allocation, you will receive the wines every year from your favorite winemakers. Your allocation will include one or two bottles per type as part of a full set from the winery you have selected. The idea is for us to make it easy and less stressful for you to find these rare bottles because you know we will be holding them just for you every year.

Some of the rarest labels are available for wine club members only, while others are open to everyone. The standard size of the packages are 6 bottles although in some cases there is the possibility of ordering a family size (12 bottle pack).

Move quickly as some of the limited allocation possibilities we have are almost all taken. You can always write to us and we will put your name on a waiting list. To get your allocation a minimum of 2 years is required.
