Every year you are guaranteed to receive your wines !
HOW DOES THE ALLOCATION WORK
By signing up for an allocation, you will receive wines from your favorite winemaker with every vintage. Your allocation will include one or two bottles per label of the current year as part of a full set from the winery you have selected. The idea is to take away the stress of finding these rare bottles since you know we will be holding them for you every year.
Some of the most collectible labels are only available for wine club members, while others are open to all customers. The standard size of the packages are 6 bottles although in some cases a family size (12 bottle pack) may be available. Move quickly as some of the allocation quantities are available in very limited quantities. If there is no space left, your name will be put on our waiting list. To get your allocation a minimum of 2 years is required.

FLAVIO RODDOLO ALLOCATION
Flavio Roddolo’s wines truly reflect his uncompromising philosophy and deeply traditional personality. One of the most old-school winemakers in the Langhe, he continues to work in near isolation on his small estate in Monforte d’Alba, producing wines in extremely limited quantities with a total annual production of just a few thousand bottles. His approach is defined by patience and absolute respect for time, releasing wines only when he believes they are fully ready to be enjoyed. Today, his Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Bricco Appiani and Barolo all come to market after many years in bottle, following his own personal sense of balance and expression. Vinification remains entirely traditional, with long ageing in large old oak casks and a minimal intervention philosophy that reflects his belief in purity and authenticity. The result is a rare and deeply personal interpretation of the Langhe, where each wine is the product of time, restraint, and unwavering dedication to tradition.

SANDRI ELIO ALLOCATION
Anyone who has been lucky to visit Elio Sandri at the top of the hill in Perno, knows how wild this experience is. His wines are authentic and well thought out, representative of the vintages and made with great respect. Elio, a philosopher in some ways, will proudly take you through his cellar, tasting from barrel to barrel as you try to decipher his mad scientist calculations drawn with chalk everywhere. He had to start making wine at 16 years old when his father had an accident and has taken his own clear and steady path while isolating himself from the trends and noise of the outside world. His wines are authentic, soulful with great personality which come out in staggered vintages released when he thinks they are ready. Under 40,000 bottles total produced depending greatly on the vintage.

Olek has such a unique story here just like his name! Despite being a really laid back guy and competitive snowboarder and skateboarder, his roots lie deep in Barbaresco.
His grandfather was one of the founding fathers of the Barbaresco Co-op in the 19th century and sold grapes to the neighbor Gaja and Produttori del Barbaresco in time.
After his grandfather passed away, he was able to go back to the family farm in Barbaresco and relive the moments he spent during the summers as a kid. Very limited!
FONTANA MARIO | Cascina Fontana

Mario Fontana’s wine really do reflect this philosophy and his personality. Humble, sincere and outstanding! The production at Cascina Fontana is extremely limited with only 7 hectares of land spread out in some of the best vineyards in Monforte, La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. The Fontana family has been growing grapes for 6 generations and the wine is made with care and experience in a very traditional way that respects the ways of their ancestors and this land that the Mario and his family feel so lucky to be a part of. Cascina Fontana wines are aged in a traditional way with cement and big barrels. There is no filtering or chemicals in the wine and meticulous work in the vineyards is carried out to ensure you a healthy pure wine.
MOLINO SERGIO | E. Molino

SERGIO MOLINO ALLOCATION
Sergio Molino is an esteemed enologist/consultant in Piemonte as well as all over Italy. Many of the wineries he works with have been featured in our club selections but we are most proud to carry his own extremely limited production of wines which are named after his father, Ernesto (E.Molino).
His vineyards and winery is located in La Morra where he makes his fantastic Barolos and old vine Barbera. Most of all, his newest project, Pelorosso is destined to be something special with only about 1,000 total bottles made and included in the allocation!
OCCHETTI STEFANO

Stefano is a skillfull engineer with a Master in Business Administration. During the last decade he has lived in Rome, Paris and Stavanger but although he has no regrets, he always missed home, his wonderful hills of Monteu Roero in the heart of Roero.
In 2019 left his corporate life and leaped into his passion for winemaking and following his grandfather’s footsteps. Although it sounds like a glamorous decision, it was a risk and the physical part can also be quite tough. His Roero vineyards are steep and require a lot of hard work but there is nothing like the satisfaction of going back to his roots and working the land. Stefano we believe is part of an insurgence of the Roero region who are definitely elevating it to the next level. Stefano Occhetti only produces 20,000 bottles a year!

With over 65 harvests under his belt, the “knight” has become an icon and a true representation of La Morra. When you taste his wines, you taste the history of Barolo. He has never really changed his ways and always comes out with vintages at least a year later. Lorenzo’s wines need to time to breathe, forcing you to slow down and take a step back into a slower paced time. With only 3 hectares (approx. 7 acres) his production is extremely limited and the wines haven’t been exported to the US since the 1980s. This means a lot of patience to get one or two bottles at a time with each individual visit if possible. We have been lucky to have built a relationship with Lorenzo (he calls us the kids from the plains because we live just 20 minutes West on the flatlands:))and we feel honored to be able to share these bottles with you.

Philine has brought so much to the table here in Langhe. Originally German, but with great experience in Austria and Burgundy, it was fascinating to see what she would add to the traditional area of Barolo.
With a great focus on biodynamic and organic practices she has brought a lot of attention to what is being done in the vineyards and getting others in the area to rethink the old ways of vineyard management. She is such a sweet girl and her wines were all allocated almost immediately! Super limited production.

Francesco Versio is an up and coming winemaker whose yields are so small that even locals can hardly find these wines. After working for important wineries like Bruno Giacosa where he sold his grapes, Francesco now makes his own label. The wines are pure and fresh with great verve!
